For the very first time, we at NBHC are proud to present a brand new event: Sunderkand Path, which is the ceremonial recitation of the Sunderkand, the famous fifth chapter of the Hindu epic Ramayana.
Sunderkand, the fifth chapter of the Ramcharitmanas by Goswami Tulsidas, recounts Hanumanji’s remarkable journey to Lanka in search of Maa Sita and his selfless service to Lord Rama. Reciting and listening to Sunderkand is traditionally believed to bring peace, strength, protection, and the removal of obstacles.
We are delighted to have artiste Swasti Pandey lead the Sunderkand Path. Swasti Pandey is a disciple of Late Pandit Dev Nandan Mishra ji who was an exponent of Seni (Tansen) Gharana. She specializes in singing, writing and composing Khayal, Bhajan, Ramcharitmanas and traditional Bhojpuri folk music.
Recipient of several awards, she was recognized by the Govt.of Delhi as well as California State Assembly, for popularizing folk music at global level.
Over 800 of her songs are compiled at her YouTube channel - "Swasti Bhojpuri Music" which has over 46 Million views. Please use the link below to check out her YouTube video for a little preview.
