This talk leads up to the ultimate resolve moving forward, which is to reclaim our Hindu identity and outlines a foundation to achieve this.

Ultimately, the goal is take this diverse knowledge, apply it practically to our lives and move forward with a unified vision of Hinduism. Watch the first session above.

Krishna Janmasthami 2022

NBHC celebrated the birth of Shri Krishna with a program that included chanting, bhajans, children's dress showcase, aarti and a kathak dance program featuring the Vandhana Dance Company.

India at 75 - 2022

Anubhuti Meditation & Retreat Center, North Bay Hindu Center, and North Bay Indo-American Association jointly hosted a public event, "The Soul of India," on the occasion of India's 75th anniversary of Independence Day on Sunday, August 14 from 4 - 7 PM.

Maha Shivaratri 2022

The program included Rudrabhishekam and Shiva Puja, followed by light dinner / prasad. Sunday, February 27 from 5 - 7 PM at the Hill Community Room in the Margaret Todd Senior Center in Novato, California. Diwali Bhajan + Lighting 2021

Navratri Program - Shlokas

This year, Navratri spans from October 6 until October 13, with Vijaya Dashami and Dusserah on October 14. There will be nightly chanting from 6:30 to 7:30 PM from October 6-14. Please reference the files below for the chanting sessions. More info will be shared on our blog. 

Navratri Durga Puja 2021

NBHC celebrated Navratri with a Durga Puja, featuring kum kum archana, on Sunday, October 17 at the Margaret Todd Senior Center in Novato.

Krishna Janmashtami 2021

NBIAA and NBHC collaborated for the first in-person joint event since 2019 on the auspicious occasion of Krishna Janmasthami, held on August 29, 2021 in Penngrove, CA.

Ganesh Chaturthi 2021

NBHC held a puja to commemorate Ganesh Chaturthi on Saturday, September 11 at the Hill Community Room at the Margaret Todd Senior Center in Novato, CA.

WATCH: NBHC 2021 Hindu New Year + Rama Navami Program

The NBHC Youth produced the 2021 Hindu New Year and Ram Navami program on Saturday, April 17, 2021. The program commemorated the lunar month Chaitra and solar month Vaisakh, as the birth of Lord Rama was celebrated, along with the regional new year festivals of Ugadi, Gudi Padwa, Navreh, Cheti Chand, Chaitra Navratri, Vaisakhi, Puthandu, and Vishu.

Truly a celebration across the subcontinent, the Makar Sankranti Culture Show celebrates Makar Sankranti, Lohri, Pongal, Uttarayan, and Bihu, among other festivals. Featuring regional stories from our members; musical recital 'Radha Madhavam' by the Guruvaram Music School; and a folk dance medley by Soundarya Ramdas with dances from Gujurat, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, and Assam. Presented on Sunday, January 17, 2021.

Celebrate Navratri, Vijaya Dashami and Dusserah through song, dance, story and prayer. A 3-part performance featuring members both young and wise. We explore Devi Durga's triumph over Mahishasura, Bhagavan Rama's triumph over Ravana, and the significance of Navratri. Presented on Sunday, October 25, 2020.

WATCH: Virtual Krishna Janmasthami Celebrations

The North Bay Hindu Center held its Krishna Janmasthami program virtually on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 5PM on Facebook Premiere. The program featured 20 of our own members singing (chanting, bhajan, regional / classical) and dancing (bharatnatyam, odissi, kathak, kuchipudi). Pandit Chandrasekhara Sharma also performed a Krishna puja.
