AUSPICIOUS SIGNIFICANCE OF KARTIKA POORNIMA
Kartika Poornima is considered to be auspicious by many Hindus based on one of the following legends:
- In the Vaishnava tradition, this is considered the day that Radha and Krishna performed rasalila with the gopis
- Shiva, in the form of Tripurantaka (Killer of the 3 demons Tripurasura) killed Tripurasura
- Considered the manifestation date of Matsya, the first of the Vishnu's dashavatara
- Celebrated as the birthday of Kartikeya
