Navratri starts this Saturday, October 17 and culminates on Vijaya Dashami / Dusserah on Sunday, October 25. Based on the lunar cycle, the first two lunar days both occur on the 17th, thus Durga Ashtami (Day 8) occurs on Friday, October 23 and Vijaya Dashami / Dusserah (Day 10) on Sunday, October 25.
